Meet Jen. She’s a member of the Human Resources team here at 4moms, which means she keeps the machine oiled, so to speak, when it comes to culture, employee benefits + perks, and general employee needs. She’s mama to Ella (nearly 5 years old) and Gunner (1 year old). She and her husband Josh live in Pittsburgh, PA.
Get to know a little more about Jen, one of our FOLD contributors:
Q: How long have you worked at 4moms?
A: Since 2013.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Having the opportunity to be so close to the culture and the team.
Q: What is your favorite 4moms product & why?
A: The breeze! It has been a lifesaver for me on more than one occasion, and my little dude sleeps like a dream in it.
Q: What is your best piece of advice for a working mother?
A: It’s okay that it’s not picture perfect.
Q: If you could invite 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would they be?
A: 1) Jason Statham (because Jason Statham), Frank McCourt (stellar author), Scott Weiland (can’t live without my STP).
Q: What are 3 things that you cannot live without?
A: Assuming we mean possessions and not the obvious three (my babies + husband), I choose a great bottle of Malbec, Starbucks, and store pick-up for groceries (because who really wants to grocery shop with kids in tow?). It is not lost on me that these are all some form of human fuel.
Q: Describe yourself in 3 words.
A: Structured, emotional (big crier here), fixer (I always want to help find a solution).
Q: What is your favorite thing to do with your children?
A: Sit on the floor with them and be present in their world! It’s awesome to watch their minds tick and hands play – an otherwise quiet room and undivided attention is the perfect evening with them.
Q: What other blogs do you follow? (besides the FOLD, of course.)
A: Does the news count? I’m big on keeping up with current events, and happen my way through many blogs on Pinterest. I like to mix it up.
Q: What is one thing that people might not know about you?
A: I graduated from Pitt with a creative writing degree – something I’ve managed to sneak into my profession here and there. Also, I like to crochet.
