Meet Nicole. She lives in Chicago and is a 4moms Brand Ambassador, which means she’s the ‘face’ for 4moms in the Midwest. She works very closely with our awesome retail partners and attends lots of mommy-to-be events. When she’s not running around the Midwest, she likes to stay at home with her 8-month old bundle-of-energy, Penelope and husband, Dan.
Get to know a little more about Nicole, one of our FOLD contributors:
Q: How long have you worked at 4moms?
A: Since 2012.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I personally LOVE using each and every 4moms product, so the fact that I get to talk about the products all day, every day is awesome.
Q: What is your favorite 4moms product & why?
A: The breeze! Penelope slept in the bassinet every night for the first three months. Now we use it as a safe space when I need both hands free for a few minutes. I just take it out of the closet when I need it and pop it open. Thank goodness for products that I can set up while holding her on my hip!
Q: What is your best piece of advice for a working mother?
A: Do what’s best for you… even if it may take some time to figure out what that “best” is. Everyone has a different job and a different lifestyle, so it’s really not one size fits all. I am in the process of trying to figure it out myself! So far, for me, it’s been all about organization and preparation – what small things can I prepare over the weekend or the night before to help make the busy days easier run a little smoother? It’s a continual learning process.
Q: What are your favorite hobbies?
A: I love doing power yoga! It’s a way to work out both my mind and my body. Only within the last few weeks though have I gone back to taking a class each week. It’s one hour that I can focus on myself…and not be interrupted…which is a beautiful thing!
Q: If you could be a super hero, what would your super power be?
A: The power to sleep anywhere, anytime.
Q: What is one thing that you really should throw away, but probably never will?
A: I keep pretty much every card or hand-written note given to me. Actually sending something through the mail doesn’t happen much anymore, so I like to relive the sentiment more than just once. (And yes, I have already started a little stack for Penelope!)
Q: Growing up, what were your favorite toys to play with as a child?
A: I remember playing round after round of Simon – the electronic game that would test your memory with a pattern in colored lights.
Q: What is your favorite family tradition?
A: Picking a theme for the Christmas tree and making the decorations. We would pick fun themes like food with popcorn garland or photos with every ornament made from fun family photos taken throughout the year. I plan to keep this tradition going in our house, too.
Q: What is one thing that people might not know about you?
A: I was in a youth ballet company when I was younger. I performed multiple times in The Nutcracker (including playing the roles of the Snow Queen and the Mouse King), and also in Beauty & the Beast (playing Cogsworth the clock). In my very first performance I was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz!
